Ray may be in jail

A jail phone at the John E. Goode Pre-Trial Detention Facility in Jacksonville called Ray's number at 2:13 this morning. That usually means he has been booked there. We can't confirm it from here.

He set this up ahead of time and put you first.

  1. Look him up on the Sheriff's Office inmate search.
  2. Don't call that number back. Jail phones only call out.
  3. His lawyer and his job are getting this message too.
Ray wrote this for you when he signed up: Mama, I'm alright. Call Mr. Davis first. And somebody please feed Duke.
Day 2. DUKE
tell my
mama.
It's 2 AM,Raymond.

One call, and your people know.

Your phone goes in a property bag at booking, and every number you know goes in with it. So you memorize one number ahead of time. It is yours and nobody else's. When the jail's robot dials it, the people you picked get the word. You don't press anything or remember anybody else's number.

Where it stands
This is how it is being built to work. A pilot is starting in Jacksonville, and it is not open for sign-ups yet.
